DS attends a Holy Cross high school that could result in an excellent scholarship opportunity at St Edwards. We have no knowledge of St Eds. Is it a commuter school? Strengths and weaknesses? Any info is appreciated.

Jammer159- we have known some families whose children (including my kid’s elementary principal’s son) decided on St. Edward’s because of the great scholarships and educational opportunities. I also work with a number of St. Edward’s graduates/interns in my field (mental health). They have nothing but positive things to say about their experiences. We live close by ( I walk the track every Sunday with my friend) and Austin is a great town to live in- the best of Texas in my opinion. Lots of graduates don’t ever leave. I really don’t consider it a commuter school from what I’ve heard and they seem to work to build community. We have been to a number of events there and the students seem happy and friendly. But I don’t know the school’s strengths.

Thanks goingnutsmom.
