<p>My student got both and is trying to figure this out. Love ot hear people's thoughts. I realize Hill is part of TSO, but it seems St. George's is the better academic rep school? No? yes?</p>

<p>I would pick St. George's. Hill is excellent, but Pottstown, PA is not exactly a garden spot (I have been to the campus, which has great facilities). St. George's is more selective. Congrats on your child's acceptances.</p>
<p>Yeah, St. Georges fo sho...it is better academically and more selective as stated by Momofwildchild. Ive been to the hill school for the tour, very conservative, town is dead, out in nowhere. </p>

<p>I agree with the comments about the town the Hill is in. My impression about both schools is that they are formal during the academic day. </p>
<p>If your student can go to revisits, it would be a helpful. St. George's is a smaller school, and has a lower international population. Your student should consider what his/her life would be like at either school. Do they both offer the sports/arts/activities that interest your student? Which is stronger in these areas? How have internationals fared in college guidance?</p>
<p>The TSAO schools are great, but it is a very successful admissions marketing organization that was formed 40 years ago, and has a static membership. I don't think they represent the 10 best schools 40 years later. I don't know if they were the 10 best when they were formed. </p>
<p>My impression is that St. George's has been strengthening its academic reputation and awareness. </p>

<p>Not knowing your child, there's no way to say which is best. If I was back in high school, then I would pick SGS over Hill in a heartbeat.</p>
<p>As for matriculation, I think icy9ff8 is a huge fan of SGS. icy9ff8 claims he has been doing mathematical studies of Ivy League matriculation and he has contended that SGS has perhaps the best college counseling and success rate of any boarding school.</p>
<p>Interesting tidbit about these two schools. The adcom at Hill that interviewed my son has a brother in the same position at SGS. Their surname is Mulhernn. Perhaps the sibling rivalry extends to enrolling your student.</p>
