St. John's college

Has anybody here heard about this college?

I’ve heard about it. Why do you ask?

I’ve heard about it, and really want to attend, but, seeing as how I would like to go to med school, or at least enter into the sciences, I cant see how I could go there and still be accepted to med school.
But anyways, ditto to what sunshower ‘said’

I received a pamphlet from them and was thrilled when I first saw the book list and the program. There are so many books that I want to read and analyse but have never found time to do so. Yes I can read them in my free time throughout my life but reading them under the guidance of the professors in four years is not a bad alternative. My concern is that I may feel ‘stifled’ since the school is so small.

Happy, there is a forum here devoted to St. John’s that may help you.

[St. John’s College (Maryland) - College Confidential](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/st-johns-college-maryland/?pp=20&daysprune=-1)

I read the school’s profile in Princeton Review and yes… I am not applying for it.
I can’t tolerate a school where almost everybody smokes.

It’s like Bloom used to say before beginning lectures at U Chicago, “If your hatred of cigarette smoke is stronger than your love of ideas, you will not be missed.”

I’m not entirely serious, but still, I’d think that other considerations might be more important than the presence of smokers.
