ST. JOhns or Hofstra???

HEY everybody i want to start a discussion about these two colleges in NY. Which is better (Campus, Surroundings, student body, academics, sports, campus life etc.)?

I think St.John's, even though there is a more religous environment there.

They're about the same in academic quality. St John's has the basketball name and is located in Queens, closer to the city than Hofstra in Long Island.

hofstra if u want to live on campus ST Johns is commuter...All i know about ST Johns is that they produce sh** loads of Teachers(Hmm almost all of my teachers i have had have a St johns degree but my Spanish one has one from Albany)

st.john's has had dormitories for at least five years. i believe about 3000 students live on campus. from what i understand there are more students who want dorms than there are dorms available.

What about the area around campus? are the areas in any of those schools any good?

I'd say Hofstra has the edge on academics, and the campus is probably a lot prettier. Quality of life is probably lot higher too.

It depends on what you want to major in.

Pre-emptively I would say Hofstra.
