Hi. So I just really want to know if I have a chance of getting into the pharmacy program at St. Johns. I know someone who had 3.8 GPA and 1710 SAT score and got in. My GPA is 3.8 and superscore on SAT after 3 times is 1660. My EC activities and classes are good. I've taken two AP classes and about 5 other classes along with joining so many clubs and doing volunteer work. I have awards and honors too. And 3 recommendation letters one from chemistry teacher, one from the pharmacist at the pharmacy I volunteer at, and one from a English teacher. My essay is great too. What are my chances? Thanks

I hate to say it but your SAT score is pretty low. What did you get in math and reading? Those are the ones that actually count. And what about your friend? If you feel that your recs would be amazing then that’s good. What is your essay about?

My math+CR was 1130. The essay was about why I choose pharmacy and why st johns. I think I got accepted to the college last week but it didn’t specify any major. I’m wondering what that could mean? And they didn’t send me an acceptence package they sent me emails to join the ‘shadow day’ and ‘accepted students day’. I’m so confused? I called them and they said I should’ve received a package and that they’ll send it again.

Hi, I know this thread is pretty cold but I would like to get some feedback. What are my chances of being admitted into the pharmacy program at st. john’s?
High School: John Bowne
SAT: 2110 (780 M 650 CR 680 W)
SAT II: 800 chem 800 math lv 2
GPA: 98.49 W (How would I convert this to a 4.0 scale??)
AP Classes:
Chemistry- 5 on exam
Calculus AB- 5
US History- 4
College now classes: (Queens college)
Sociology 101- A+
Urban Studies 101- A
Strong letters of recommendation but not a lot of clubs or extracurriculars
I heard the program is very competitive and im worried my lack of extracurriculars would get me rejected
I dont go to a prestigious high school either
