It seems that there is very little discussion about this school here. Any alumni or current students/parents can share your experience about St. Mark's? Thanks.

Not alumni or parent, but I have a friend that goes there, and absolutely loves it. He likes the relatively school size, around 350 kids, and that it feels like a family. I’m not going to apply there, as I have a certain dislike for small sized schools, but it is a great school.

Stylus, SMS is a terrific school. My ds used to attend the Math Institute there and we know it pretty well. They have recently done some renovations so the indoor space is more contemporary and less dark and dingy. I have been quite impressed with both staff and students we’ve met there. They have a new robotics team, an excellent classics department, and are very community minded.

Thank you for the info.

We toured there last year - S decided not to apply, but it is a great place - just didn’t click with him. The small size means the teachers know all the kids. They have weekly staff meetings as an entire school. Robotics team is fantastic - the robot was in the lobby of the science building. They are doing some renovations last year - new common space was in full reno mode last fall. I think there were plans for new science space too. It is an Episcopal School with weekly chapel, but they are welcoming and have students of varying backgrounds.

HTH.

MA2012, the new space is lovely. Lots of natural light and comfortable hang out space.

If anyone has any specific questions about St. Mark’s, feel free to PM me or post here and I’ll do my best to respond in a timely manner. I’m a current 6th former (senior) at the school.
