Stacks

Go to Uris and check out the A.D. White Library...it's awesome.

So can someone please tell me where the stacks are? How can I get to it?
Thanks

There are 20 sets of stacks across the campus. Could you be more specific?

As a Cornellian, you really should be more resourceful. Have you not had to check out a book this long into the semester?

eh- I am a second semester senior and have only needed material from the stacks once ever at cornell. I think use of the library's resources just varies by courseload. I'm a biology major and most scientific journals I use are networked online.

Same here. I got a book out from the library one time over my three years at Cornell. Of course, I was an engineering major, so that makes sense. I don't think I ever actually studied in a library either.

I did however sometimes have group meetings in Olin and/or Uris. And I must say I always loved the feel of the buildings. It just feels so important.

Perhaps. But I checked out a lot of books for my evolutionary bio course. And I find it hard to believe you didn't take one humanities or social science course that required you to check out a book from the stacks. And have you never wanted to check out a book (or a DVD) for pleasure?

Lol its fine if you don't believe it...but I've never taken a liberal arts class that required any material other than networked resources online or the books purchased at the Cornell store. Although once I was looking to reread a ray bradbury short story and found it in the stacks.

So there you go. Admittedly, my age may be showing through here.

off topic, but I've always wondered... how do you quote things when you reply??

Whoa there. Let's work on your subject-verb agreement first, then you can go scouting around campus yourself.
