Did anyone participate in the GA Tech Stamps President’s Scholarship interviews yesterday? I felt like I couldn’t really connect with my interviewers. We strictly stuck to the questions they had on paper, minimal follow up questions, and we ended up finishing pretty early. Anyone have any personal experiences they’d like to share (current semifinalists or past participants)?
Ditto! My son felt the exact same way. It was more of a scripted interview vs a conversation to connect and really get to know him. He was bummed!
agreed 100%. guess we will see friday
i did the stamps interview on feb 9 and I agree. when i did alumni interviews with other colleges i felt a good connection but this one the interviewers had no response and just asked question and didnt really get to know my personality. not feeling too good but we’ll see this friday. maybe they will decide more on resume but not sure.
we didnt finish early though, we went up to the 45 min mark
GL guys, and post the results here on friday
I think they sent out emails notifying finalists - I just got one!
I got accepted as a stamps finalist. looking forward to meeting you and the other finalists on march 8! @Idlespectator
Can you please share any tips on the selection for future applicants? Did you get a sense of what they are looking for?
Initial interviews are based on your regular application to Georgia Tech and evaluated against the program’s pillars of scholarship, leadership, progress, and service.
