Stamps

This is a rather foolish question, but how many stamp(s) do I need to put on my teacher's rec envelope (the 39 cents stamp kind)? There should be about 3 or 4 pieces of paper in the envelope when my teacher mails it out. I'm thinking of 2 stamps, perhaps? Would this be enough? Or would it be too many?

Thank you.

A standard envelope with four sheets of paper should take one stamp.

So use two.

Thank you, WashDad. I'll put 2 stamps on there. =)

It wouldn't hurt to stop by the post office and have them weight it. I agree, 2 is probably enough, but you wouldn't want to send out an app on the last possible postmark date and then have it returned b/c you didn't put enough postage on it and you'd then miss the postmark date. Just remember that for any future important packages/envelopes.

But I agree, 2 should work for your situation. :)

Thank you, Cards4Life and Papa Chicken, especially for the link. I really should've checked the old threads before posting.
