<p>What are three things that would make a common app personal essay stand out from the thousands of others to an admissions person?</p>
<p>Clever, creative, or particularly insightful. There are so many overdone or cliched essays.</p>
<p>^ Lagging, as usual, is correct. Just make sure to SHOW different aspects of yourself in the essay. Try to not adhere to any specific structure and do not try to impress the adcoms with your word choice!</p>

<p>Anyway its all about finding your own voice. Just find something you believe in and talk about it. First you just need to flow your thoughts onto paper then you can worry about standing out. </p>
