Standard Admission

If you don't get into Kelley directly and go standard and transfer in, do you miss valuable course information? Also, is it still plausible to get into the investment baking workshop?

Not really. The only thing I can think of is that you get university division advisor. I’ve heard that some of them don’t know much if anything about Kelley. For example, they put my friend in all the prereqs for admission (except calculus, he had HS credit) in one semester. I would advise not taking one class (finite or calc, probably. Many find finite harder, but personally I find finite much easier) and putting it off until after you get in.

It is definitely still possible to get into the IBW. You should probably join the IB club, and they should be (I’m not in it, so I don’t know) a good resource. I’m sure they’ll tell you this, but take F228 your sophomore year. It’s an intro to IB and is taught by the professor (Haeberle) who runs the workshop and does admissions, so that’s a good way to get to know him.
