Standardized Test Requirements

I don’t have the subject tests required for Brown but I have an ACT from my sophomore year and the new SAT which I just took from a few months ago.

I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to send my old ACT score which isn’t in Browns range with my new SAT score which is within Browns typical SAT range.

Thereby bypassing the requirement for the SAT and subject tests.

No, I wouldn’t suggest that. Since you wouldn’t be sending subject tests, they’d focus more on your ACT score, which as you said is old and not in Brown’s range. If at all possible, you should focus on retaking the ACT or taking some SAT subject tests to meet the requirements.

Thanks bro

I actually neglected to mention that I already submitted my commonapp, so I was meandering around deciding if the extra $50 for sending my scores would even be worth it. Because right now I’m sitting on a 100% rejection. $40 for the scores to get sent out via ACT. And If I send my ACT why not just spend the extra $12 for my up to date SAT. This is my real dilemma @bruno14
