Standardized Test Score Dilema

Hi,

I have the following scores:

SAT I Math: 660
SAT I Critical Reading: 730
SAT I Writing: 630

SAT II Biology: 780
SAT II Math II: 690

ACT: 31

My question is: is it worth sending my SAT scores to colleges? The SAT people send all scores and I was wondering if sending my SAT II scores was worth having colleges see my SAT I score. Ideally I would just like to send my ACT and SAT II scores but that is not possible. Should I report my SAT scores? The colleges I am looking at are UPenn, Carnegie Mellon University, Boston University etc.

If it’s reccomended or required you definitely should (I’m pretty sure it is at UPenn). I don’t think it will hurt you no matter what, though.

Your ACT is not really that much better than your SAT I. I say retake the SAT I and send only SATs.

Your ACT score is a 2040 and your SAT is a 2020…so its really irrelevant.

Thank you for the responses.

Per this link: http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/pdf/report.pdf</a> your SAT combined 1390 is EXACTLY equivalent to a 31 ACT.

Why would you even send the ACT? Actually your ACT could correspond to 1360 as well, so it doesn’t add any weight to anything.

Retake ACT and/or SAT. If you got a 730 in CR then you can certainly up the writing…how did you prep for these? What was your breakdown on ACT (section by section)?
