Standardized Test Scores - chance me (stern regular)

SAT 1: Math 710, CR: 680, W: 690
SAT 2: M2: 690, Chem: 690, US History: 700

I am taking one more SAT in December. Do you think I will be better off with taking SAT 1 or SAT 2, especially math?
Thanks in advance.

Nah, your SAT IIs are good. They don't look at them that heavily anyway.

Definitely take your SAT I again, bump that Math up cause you're already good with CR and W.

Thanks, bimachris.
Anyone else? Bump..............!

U should def. aim for a 2100+, since you're applying to Stern.

I see. So, SAT 2's are at least okay-range?

Most schools use SATIIs for placement testing. It is easier for us to pay the college board, than for them to administer the test. Unless your SATII scores were really bad, which they are not, it isnt necessary to retake them.

Retake your SATs. Try to bump up your Math and writing. Any businessman has to be a good writer. Also, try taking the ACT. I did alot better on my ACT than my SAT.

Thanks, Bryanm. I actually took ACT, but my SAT scores are way higher than those of ACT.
So, math and writing... This one in December will be the last one.
Maybe I should post it under the SAT section, but any suggestions on the essay part?

Not really, the writing section doesn't really play much of a part in admissions. NYU and a lot of other colleges (excluding west coast) still only report math and reading scores.

Oh, I thought the SAT 2's were also admission factors.
What if I score lower on reading but higher on other sections? For instance, what if I get below 650 or something?

bump.......................!

You should retake the SAT...my friend had the same score, he applied to Stern RD and was on the waitlist for a month before finally getting accepted. And he had higher SAT II scores, but I think yours should be fine.
But definitely retake the SAT and get a higher score just to be on the safer side.

Thanks. Well, though I did ask this question a couple of lines above, but would it hurt my chance if my reading score drops?

They'll consider your highest score of each section, don't worry.

Thank you.
