Hey Everyone!

As my interest in CU- SEAS grows daily and I continue to do research on the school, I've realized that test scores seem to be a critical part of the undergrad admissions. I am aware of the fact that there are other things about a student that are evaluated in the process, however lets say an applicant doesn't get the average SAT I score like the others but besides that is the "total student" that CU is looking for. What is the chance that the SAT score could impede them from being considered?

It depends just how off/below the score falls from the average. An applicant can have scores that fall in the bottom 25 percentile but still be accepted because everything else about their application shines. One weak link in your application won’t sink your chances but you start adding 1 or 2 more and your chances will drop significantly.

Are you trying to say you didn’t do so well on the SAT? If so, what did you score?

Thank you for the info (downeasterdad)…Yeah me and one of my friends have this issue. Didn’t meet up to the avg ivy league score. However id gotten a lower score of 1510. Ill be retaking it in Oct along with the two mandatory SAT 2s. Because my school doesn’t offer chemistry I don’t think the ACT will do me too much good.
