Standardized Test scores on Highschool Transcript?

Do Highschools require that all scores be on the transcript?

Or is it based on the highschool's policy?

ohkay so I talked to my transcript school lady today, and, apparently, she can’t hide my sucky SAT scores/other standardized test scores. Soooo she can send them all in -.- ugh… so basically I can’t score choice ANY school, even if they allow it. gahhhhh. i remember reading somewhere though that high schools are instructed by College Board to NOT put test scores on the back of the transcripts… but my high school doesn’t even have the capability to electronically send transcripts… so maybe it’s just my high school’s policy.

Colleges don’t require that all scores be on transcript… they just want you grades, gpa, rank, etcccc.

but different high schools have different policies…

It’s illegal for your school to put your scores on the transcript without you giving them permission.

It’s a school-by-school thing. Mine doesn’t do it

but then what about Score Choice? Wouldn’t the schools that put standardized test scores on transcripts pretty much DISADVANTAGE the students who want to apply to schools that allow Score Choice?

^Yes, I think it’s a bit stupid for schools to put the scores on the transcript. And by a bit, I mean very stupid

I have heard that it is illegal, as well. Do you know what the legal basis is, however? Is it FERPA or some other legislation? Thanks!

why bump a 2 year old thread?

My school puts them down, but they’re missing a subject test I took for whatever reason. I’d rather they not include it but it’s whatever. :</p>
