I sent in a 32 ACT (31 in math), a 2200 SAT (700 CR and 700 Math, 800 W) as well as three SAT scores: 750 in WHist, 720 in Bio and 660 (!!!) in math. Since I am applying to Stern, will the 660 be taken against me..or will they just choose either the ACT or SAT to evaluate me?

As far as I know both the ACT and SAT scores will be taken into consideration. You have to assume this if you sent in both. Its not like they’ll choose between the two

Stern will choose the highest of the ACT or SAT score you sent. For example, if you got a 2100 on the SAT and a 33 on the ACT, they will take the 33 into consideration, but not the 2100. I spoke with an admissions insider on my athletic visit there and they confirmed this to me.

Oh and since they will look at your highest subject test scores. So you need not worry about your 660… your first two fulfill the optional request for the SATII’s.

@justspice- is this true? because NY says that if we send in SAT II, Stern wants Math iic. Since the requirement Three Tests OR SATs OR ACTs I am just hoping my SAT or ACT will be used instead.

OH I’m so sorry! I misread the 660 for Biology. Hmmm… that is a problem - sorry, I misread your question slightly. I only sent in my ACT and SAT scores, and didn’t send in my SATII scores. I would call them to see if you can withdraw your math SATII.

I’d just send it in. NYU will choose whichever is most beneficial to you (like choosing the act over sat or vice versa) and only look at that in their admissions consideration.
