Standardized tests and chicago--

I was wondering, how important are SAT, ACT scores at Chicago? I know some schools look at them a lot, others only glance at it as it is just a small section of your whole package.

I have a 670 CR, 700 M, 700 W...
My Sat II scores (are these required???) 760 Math II, 740 Chem, 630 Spanish (...lol...)

I also have taken the SAT multiple times, my score the second time around actually went down...will I be penalized for this? Is Chicago score choice? Will they only take into account the highest scores?

you should read the thread linked below. It’s pretty well researched, and yes, sobering.

UChicago treats them as a smaller section of your total package- we’re much more interested in the total you from your transcript, not the early-Saturday-morning-you from your SATs. They are still considered in admissions, but not a dealbreaker.
And no, SATIIs are not required.
