Standardized Tests for Admissions

On Princeton's website it says that for the SAT, they will look at your highest individual section scores even if they're from different test dates (basically superscore) and for ACT they will look at your highest composite score. Is this "trustworthy"? Does your composite SAT score theoretically not matter for schools that say this?

What’s not to trust? They’re gonna reject 94% of applicants. They can do what they want. But to purposefully mislead people is stupid.

Some schools will look at all of your scores, but if a school says they will look at your highest, they probably will.

Yes they will look at only your highest scores if you use score choice from the college board. Princeton indicates they allow it and my son used it so yes it is trustworthy. However if you self report other scores, or opt not to use score choice, all the scores will be received by Princeton. This is only problematic if you have a couple really low scores that you’d prefer they not see. In this scenario you will mostly likely be superscored and your application considered within a band of scores.

Thanks!
