What is the GPA standard, ACT/SAT score, etc.?

I'd be a transfer student, and I think my college GPA was 2.9 when I left. Is that going to put my chances of getting in way down?
My ACT score is really good, though, and says my GPA is a 3.4. So, what do you think?

I think that you have a pretty good chance. I have a 3.7 gpa and I got in. When do you find out?

I won’t apply until next year for Fall 2014. 2.9 is way lower than a 3.7! Haha. Thanks for answering, though. Hopefully if my portfolio is kickass they will consider me.

I also only got a 23 on my ACT as well. Just try to bring your grades up!

FIT usually consider applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. For busines majors grades are more important than for art/design majors (although good grades are crucial there as well).

My GPA is 3.74 and I got in for the AMC major.

I am a high school senior, Ive taken 3 AP classes (business, environmental science, and psychology) , have a GPA of 3.67 and also got a 23 on sats, i’m applying for fashion merchandising… i’m apart of 4 different outreach mentoring programs…
i know your insight isn’t going to predict my outcome, but with a rejection rate of 61% anything to keep me hopeful is worth is.
what do you think my chances are…

@missblair140 I encourage you to apply! the worst is you don’t get accepted and you do another semester to get your grades up…at least you know for certain you didn’t make the cut this time. I’m sort of in the same position.

I’ve applied for Illustration AAS with the intentions of doing a BA in Direct Marketing and Interactive Marketing after. I graduated from high school last year and i’m awaiting acceptance/rejection. I have a GPA of 2.7 and i gave my portfolio my utmost best. I followed and did everything they asked for. What do you think my chance are?

@iashsummer I am in a similar situation. I would appreciate it so much if you’d let me know it you were accepted.
