what they don't tell you is that your chances are best if:

a) go to the largest test center you know of (usually a big public school)

b) be the first one there so you are at the front of the standby line--if they have any extra spaces then it is first come-first served

c) you might have some luck calling the test center in advance, beg to speak to the testing supervisor, and see if they can tell you whether they typically are able to accomodate standby-testers

d) you're far more likely to get in stand-by for the SAT than you are for SAT II, because at most test centers there are fewer people taking the II's

sorry i meant George Washington University..

on the site lsited above it says the scores are considered...at collegeboard.com it says they are reccomended..and on common apps it says they're optional.. im thinking i wont take them cuz i havent prepared for them at ALL..

so for standby..can i go to the biggest test center...be the first one..and say hi i came for standby...then ask if i can take SAT I instead of SAT II? thanks

so do u guys think it would be alright if i do that and take it in november..and sign up for december too?

College Board Site tells me to get the registration form from the school's counseler office yet i went there today, and they said they didnt have any!!!

Where can i get this registration form?

Or do i need it? I need advice from someone who has taken a standby already.

2400 SAT, do I need a registration form if I'm already registered for SAT II's, but want to change to SAT I? Do I just bring my confirmation ticket and arrive early w/ a blank check?

wait, I want to do this, but do the other way (sat 1 to sat 2).
so I could i just bring my ticket + a cheque, without needing to fill out the registration form again?

My school doesn't have registration forms either. I'm taking the SAT II's standby this weekend at a different school. Should they have registration forms for standbyers when I arrive Saturday morning or do I need to get one now?
