Standby Taker: Procedure

<p>what they don't tell you is that your chances are best if:</p>

<p>a) go to the largest test center you know of (usually a big public school)</p>

<p>b) be the first one there so you are at the front of the standby line--if they have any extra spaces then it is first come-first served</p>

<p>c) you might have some luck calling the test center in advance, beg to speak to the testing supervisor, and see if they can tell you whether they typically are able to accomodate standby-testers</p>

<p>d) you're far more likely to get in stand-by for the SAT than you are for SAT II, because at most test centers there are fewer people taking the II's</p>
