Recently, I tested standby for the ACT as a sort of preparation for the SAT. After taking the test, I felt extremely confident in my scores and hope to see them before I make the decision to take the March SAT. However, since I registered standby, I am not sure I will be able to view the results online. Does the ACT link my name, address etc. from my standby registration to my online account, or do I have to call and see if they can possibly link the two?

Nope. I took the December ACT as a standby last minute, and didn't get my scores until around January 23ish. I remember because it was right before my SAT and I was just chillin cuz I found out I got a 33 :D

You're gonna have to wait. It sucks, but hopefully it pays off in the end for you.

I took october ACT standby and didn't get scores till the end of December....

You're going to waiting a LOOONG time. But it was cool cuz i got the score i wanted.

Scores for standby testers are online just like everyone else's. I think that when they link your standby registration to your online account, the test date shows up on your account. Then when your scores are ready, they will be there. Some standby scores show up the first day scores are posted online, but more often there is some delay. I'd say if the test date doesn't show up within a couple weeks, they might not have been able to link it to your account and you should call them.

what exactly is standby testing...

standby testing is when you show up at a testing center on the day of the test and hope that you can take it. You aren't signed up in advance, and you just test your luck on whether or not they have enough tests.

Do you think it might be possible to get my registration number and try from there to get the online scores? Or, call and see if they will try to link the registration with the online account. Is contacting them simply futile, though? Ugg, I am sure I am simply over worrying, but it would just be an incredible relief to know whether I have to take the SATs or not by Wednesday. Thank You so much for your advice so far, it has been so great!

nope........ACT is a ing * about standby testing. I had to wait almost 2 months, possibly more.

I was also standby tester for February 9 ACT as a practice exam - still no online scores for me, just my registration for the April ACT. Looks like I will not find out my ACT either before March 1 SAT.
