This is the first time I've done standby test taking. What do you do tomorrow? I heard you have to go really early. But what else are you supposed to do if you want to sign up for the SAT2 tomorrows as a standby testtaker?

Oh I am doing standby for the first time tomorrow too! I talked to my counselor about it and she should they should have enough extras, but I'm nervous. Which are you taking? Im taking Math L2 and US History which are pretty common so they should have extras.
I think you have to pay extra too.

I'm thinking about USH and chemistry. I know that you have to get a form or something like that. Where do you get that? Also do you have to pay with cash at the spot?

You do have to bring a filled out registration form from the Registration Bulletin available at your school's counselor's office... I've been trying to find out if you can download a copy, but I haven't been able to figure it out for sure. From the CB website:

Instructions
To be considered for standby testing, please be present at the test center on test day before 7:45 a.m. Bring a completed Registration Form, sealed in its envelope, along with payment by check, money order, or credit card. Checks and money orders should be made payable to "The College Board." You will also be charged a $35 standby fee in addition to the regular fee for the test or tests you wish to take.

Uh oh. What if I don't have the form? Can I still get one in the test center?

I don't know...the instructions are pretty clear about bringing one in a sealed envelope. Maybe one of your friends has a copy.

Wait...this is not the same as just adding a test on that day is it? Like I'm signed up for SAT 2 US for tomorrow and want to add Math 2 C. I thought that you just tell them and that collegeboard will bill you later. Is this true? How much will they bill? Just 8 dollars extra, or more?

No, you can definitely change, delete or add tests without a reg. form. I think it's just an $8 charge/test billed to you later.
