Standby testing

Hello,

Just a quick question about SAT standby testing: does a standby spot only exist at a full test centre if somebody hasn't turned up? For the May testing date, the only testing centre in my state is full up.

Thanks,
NotJustIvy

you just show up, if they have extra tests, they’ll assign you the last room.

Did the test center fill up or did you note making the registration?

You’re welcome to go try regardless, no harm no foul.

Show up to the test day, and go to the office and check.

The testing centre is full, no more registrations accepted. I don’t know why they would have extra tests though if they were full… if they had space they would have opened up one already. I suppose somebody could drop out though.

I had the same problem. When i went standby I asked my GC to check which places I had the best place to get a spot. He checked and I went to a school that was reported “full”. However me and like 2 other kids were able to get in without a problem. Just show up and if they have enough room you will get in.
