I sometimes came to this site and read these stats and some are just ridiculously great, with feats that I can't even imagine myself doing. I'm more of the normal kid, and Stanford is my top choice among Johns Hopkins and various UC's.

I'm a Korean immigrant who came to U.S. at age 10.

UC GPA : 4.38
I've taken 5 AP's my junior year. Would've had straight A's both semesters, except my english teacher screwed me over and gave me a B, now he can't change it because of administrators who are picky.
Taking 4 AP's senior year (right now), and doing so-so.

Regular GPA should be a bit lower.

And I should be very high in ranking, probably under 7 out of 3~4 hundreds. I go to San Pedro High School, btw, a heavily mexican populated area.

SATs

SAT1
Math: 760
Writing: 710

English 630

2100

I retook SAT on OCT and I'm pretty sure I did really well. Of course, that probably means a whole bunch of other people did well as well. I'm hoping about 2280. Damn I want my score right now.

SAT II
Math IIC: 800
Korean : 800 (yes I'm a fob thank you)
biology : 720
U.S. History :620

AP scores:
Biology : 5
Calculus : 5
Computer Science A : 4
English : 4
History : 4

EC / Awards
-Key Club, 2 years, a regular member
participated in the Conference in San Jose last year
-Peace Club 1 year

-Rocket Team 1 year
This isn't a bs actually. We're gonna build rockets and compete in nationals.
-Food for thought club
We talked about philosophy while eating. Not really a bs, but kind of a bs.
-Academic Decathlon 2 years
Last year I got some awards, like 3 paper awards, and a $100 for being highest scoring student in the team. Couple medals. We also scored highest in our conference. Anyone else here in deca?
-French Club, 1 year
BSBSBS
-Tennis, Varsity 1 year
Varsity tennis. No awards though, just a broken racket
-Piano x years
I could say i've been playing it for say 12 years, but that's just overinflation. Truth is I barely play mozart and beethoven (their easy songs) after practicing for a long time. Maybe 2~3 years.
-CTY program hosted by Johns Hopkins University, 4 years
I met a lot of people, I learned a bunch, and had some fun.
-AP Scholar with Distinction Award
5 AP's taken, higher than 3.5 average.
-Sunday school teacher
for about 3 years I taught Sundays school at a local church.
-Hospital Volunteer, 7x hours
Info desk work.

Maybe I have more, but I'll think of them later.

One thing I have is that my brother is physically handicapped. And I didn't really want to talk about it because I feel like I'm using him, but since it is true I've talked about that fact has inspired me to be a doctor. I'm not lying or anything, so it's not immoral, but it still kinda leaves a sour taste.

Wow it's a lot longer than I thought it would be. Well, unfortunately none of them, other than SAT II scores maybe, are that extraordinary. I do have confidence in going to UC's. I'll probably go to UCLA, my sis is going to gradunate, if that's going to help me. I would like to go to Stanford, because going to a more prestigious college will make me feel good. Johns Hopkins I'd like to go as well, and it'd be my 1st except it's in Maryland. For JHU I think CTY history will help me.

What are my chances of being accepted to Stanford? Or Yale or Princeton (although I don't count on them. Stanford is just like, I somehow feel that I have an ok chance for some reason.)

I've had couple of stupid B's like one in PE and one in Health class.

...Looking at Zoolander's comment on above thread made me feel bad. damn
