It is very intimidating to realize just how many people you are up against when applying to Stanford.

Like most of the tens of thousands of applicants, I have above a 4.00 GPA, recived a 33 on my ACT, have been involved in sports, theater, student council, and various other clubs. Although I have qualified for the state competition in Cross Country for three years, and have made it to Nationals in the National History Day Documentary competition, I still feel like I am just one of the herd.

Do you have any suggestions on how to make an application stand out from the countless other valedictorians, student council presidents, and straight a students?
