I know Harvard gets a lot of competitive applicants... How do you make yourself stand out among other applicants for college? I know of the buzzers like CEO of companies, Olympic Champs, famous actors, etc. but are there any realistic stand-outters? Would working for a national magazine or city newspaper make you stand out? How about hosting for a local TV show? Coming from a very low-income family? First college-bound generation?
Others?
