Stanford 2008 Transfer

lol stanFUrd

Wow.

Are you going to take it? I wonder how many they took off the waitlist. Probably the two or three that declined their offer in the first place.

I know tons of things must be running through you now.

Good luck and let us know.

Thanks for the kind words, guys (Except for you, itchy. It took me about nine years to figure out what your post meant). I’m in, as the SAT vocab study guide would say, a quandary. I know I deserve sympathy from no one. It’s just that my wife’s entire family, and really her whole life, are in Manhattan, and this has just pulled the rug out from under her.

Congrats, you’ve done a wonderful job! Good luck on your decision, you’ll do well in the long term either way!

From the waitlist? Who would’ve thought, Congratulations Aneece!!!

Stanford is just 2 years… vs. a lifetime of choosing where to live afterwards.

Annika

you got in columbia too.?? good for you, gosh, you’re really lucky and deserving..

Congrats Aneece! How did you find out? I know that last year many people did not find out until after July 1.

Does it increase your chances if you are choosing an unpopular major as a URM junior transfer?

I plan to transfer to Stanford after 2yrs at Penn state and major in sociology.

Sociology is NOT an “unpopular” major.

Please start a new thread rather than adding to last year’s S thread. Thanks.

Edit: opps sorry didn’t see the last post!
If there isn’t one already, someone should create (or bump) a 2009 Stanford Thread.

I’m closing this thread and one of the S hopefuls can start a new one for 2009 transfers.
