@tarekb22 it’s so shady/annoying that the limit was so small ;/
@DavidMiller Frustrating after how much time we put into writing those
Has someone emailed their admissions officer about getting deferred? I saw someone on reddit had, and she mentioned getting a personal reply from her AO.
@holtenbmx I did and I also got a reply. I’ve sent a few updates (I think 2) since I was deferred. The reply was basically “thanks for the update.”
Do decisions roll out through March or are they a definite release for April 1? Does it change depending on if you were deferred or not? I’ve also heard rumors that they’re releasing on March 30.
@bigoldeferral they’re definitely not rolling, but they also don’t necessarily come out on april 1st. some years they have, but others it has been on some other day in late march, like the march 30th you said. usually it is after “ivy day” which is on march 28th this year so maybe it will be the 29th, 30th, 31st, or 1st ! and i don’t think it depends on deferrals at all because we pretty much are part of the regular decision pool now. we all get them at the same time but we don’t know the day yet
They release on the same date.
Same Day Decision!
If you look at Stanford 2022 Regular Action, there are several postings on people receiving likely letters starting 3rd week of Fe
Their website currently says April 1st
@holtenbmx I emailed mine–she responded that the best course of action for deferral was filling out the optional update.
Has any deferred applicant gotten a likely letter?
I mean, it doesn’t make much sense because that person probably would’ve been accepted REA, but I’m just curious
@dernhelm I haven’t
While one can never say never, I have never heard of it. Which makes sense. If one were deserving of a LL, I can’t imagine having been deferred.
Yeah. I saw on reddit that someone from regular decision did get a likely letter, but I don’t know anyone who has been deferred to have gotten one.
One month!!!
Someone from my school got a likely letter yesterday, and someone else got in early from my school with REA. My school has never had more than 2 students accepted to Stanford in a year so all my hope is gone at least I had the satisfaction of being deferred and knowing I had a little bit of a chance instead of none at all haha! Looks like I’m gonna get rejected on my 18th birthday, but good luck to all of y’all, you are all incredible and never doubt that <3
these likely letter are making me so hopeless! I wish they’d just announce all decisions at the same time
Hey, just because something hasn’t ever happened before doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen. Keep your chin up amigadelauni, you’ve got as much of a chance as the rest of us.
what does one have to do to get a likely letter? have a perfect ACT, 4.0 GPA, and a cure for cancer?
