Your application stands-as-is. But you can send in any update you want. I wouldn’t do an updated essay though. We can brainstorm more next year.
Hey everyone! Super excited to join the Stanford class of 2025!
Here are some of my stats if you’re interested:
ACT: 36 composite, 12 on writing
SAT subject tests: 800 on Math II, 780 on Bio M
AP tests: 5s on: Euro, Calc AB, Physics Mech C, Bio, Lang, US History
Just got rejected from Stanford. Feeling shattered as it was my dream school but yeah as the old guns say “the life must go on”. I have a question though, does being an international student and asking for full financial aid lower your chances of admission to need aware universities?
Not this time, I think it’s hard luck for international students this time.
Kiddo got accepted!
Stats:
4.3 weighted
-35 ACT- 36 superscored
-Full time dual enrollment- stem focus
-Research internship
-Hundreds of volunteer hours
-Typical clubs like NHS, Key, etc
-some of his awards include Congressional Award- Bronze Medal/Presidential Award/Prudntial Spirit Award
-Leadership like President of Medical Explorers, Class Rep, etc
I also think he has some amazing essays. We were hoping for a deferral but an acceptance is a crying screaming joyous dream!
I still can’t f*cking believe it my son got into Stanford. Major shock. Even spritzers don’t help.
Same with my D
No I’m Indian too but I got in
Which course did you get into?@drumsforlife2002
I also got in!
Nice meeting everyone here. Time for me to move on to other colleges: Tech, the UCs, Cornell etc.
Congratulations, what was your intended major though?
Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
Any tips for those applying regular decision?
Deferred.
Bioengineering
Cousin ACCEPTED!!! 1480 SAT, valedictorian, founder of many clubs and a company. International student from Colombia!!
My son got in. Class of 2025. For what is worth, the prediction about the portal changes were true for us. His ‘update’ links disappeared around 2pm but his permanent and mailing addresses did not, and there is also a link to ‘edit’ them. I think they only keep the addresses of the kids that they will need to communicate with in the future, i.e. the kids that got in or got deferred.
To the students who were rejected, there are so many factors deciding the admission. Unlike British or Canadian universities, it is not always based on academic merit. On top of that, many kids took a gap year last year which left fewer spots for this year’s class.
So re-reading this thread kinda proves that the myth is real.
yeah it was for me oof
I got rejected, but a huge congratulations to everyone that got in! I hope to run into you someday in the Valley. Go Cardinals!!
