Hopefully it’s Dec 4 !!!
Probably Dec 11, if not later. Adcoms from the past 20 years have not had to deal with a pandemic, lol.
Nevermind guys! I just got my interview two days ago! But from the comments I saw and the searches I made there were some conflicting answers. Is getting an interview a good or bad sign, or is it a sign at all? For context, I am an international student residing in a foreign country, but then I don’t reside in my home country either. Wish me luck!
@amazingflowers getting an interview isn’t a sign at all. You got one based on availability. Not because you passed an initial round of screening. Fortunately it’s one more piece you can add to your application, which is especially useful as an international. Go kill the interview, stop worrying about whether getting one proves anything. Good luck.
Hey guys, I had my interview today and it went amazing. Apparently my interview was twice as long as other interviews held in India. If anyone has any questions or wants tips regarding the interview, I’ll be happy to help.
I did my interview 2 days ago…It lasted around 45 min, and I’m not sure if that’s a lot or not. It was also kinda weird that it was in my native language. If anyone needs advice/has questions, don’t hesitate to tag me
@Arhaan
Sorry, I took long to reply.
I am not so sure how I can calculate my cumulative GPA because my school doesn’t. However, I could estimate it to about a GPA of an A.
For extracurriculars
I have my own organization,
I am the lead ambassador of a company
Tutor/teacher at an astronomy park
I did world scholar’s cup
self-published author (of 2 books)
Those are the ones I can remember at the moment without too much detail.
I hope that helps.
Hi guys,
You stated that one gets an interview from people in their area. I got mine from Zambia and I live in Kenya. Zambia is in southern Africa and Kenya is in East Africa. Does that count too?
I am praying that decisions come out on the 4th! This is going to be a long two-three weeks. Do you think there are less applicants this year? Anyone have any info on that?
@ricecakedog thanks, that helps a lot. Hope you get into Stanford.
@ricecakedog yeah I guess that counts. My guess is that they didn’t have many alumni living in Kenya so they used one from Zambia. How was your interview?
So am I, but I think it’s going to be the 11th.
I think it’s gonna be 7th or 6th like last time
so i’m assuming when it says december 15th on the website and when you apply that’s the latest date that they’ll release decisions on not the actual decisions day?
I’m curious…I thought 12/4 was the earliest we’d hear?
@Arhaan My interview went pretty well content-wise but I am not so confident about it just because I am an ESL student.
Exactly @lincolnwillard, December 15th is the latest date. They’ve said December 15th forever, but as you can see from @swn7403 post, they’ve released before then for the last 14 or so years.

Others may have a better feel for this but your stats are very impressive. Any application to Stanford is a long shot. Even for the most qualified applicants
@vpatty What is your spike/major though? Matters most for unhooked applicants. ECs / awards don’t seem to align strongly in one focus.
