1) My teachers wrote me letters without filling out the common app forms. Should I still mail the letters to Stanford or do they require that the recs be on the common app forms?
I just printed my common app number onto the bottom of the letters.
I'm freaaaaaaking out.

2) I haven't done the secondary school report form, but I've read on other forums that they can be submitted later. Should I just submit them when I go back?

I personally would hold on to those letter of recommendations and when you get back to school (if you're on break) then the first thing you should do is give those Common App forms to the teachers and ask them to fill it out. It's okay if colleges receive letter of recommendations slightly after the deadline. The important thing is that you turn your Common App form and your supplement in. Another alternative is to put your teachers' names on the Common App (in the School Forms section) and their emails. Common App will then email them with the forms. Then, your teachers can fill out their recommendations online and attach their original letter of recommendation (all online). And don't freak out. Seriously, it's okay for letter of recommendations to get in slightly late. Make sure you turn in YOUR required documents/forms by deadline.

The secondary school report form is the form that your counselor should handle. It includes his/her recommendation, a school report, and your official transcripts. They can be submitted slightly later as well. But, make sure you get them in as soon as you can.

Recommendations do not necessarily affect admissions. MAKE SURE YOU TURN YOUR FORMS IN! And make sure that the teachers/counselor turns their forms in ASAP as well.

I've always heard, though, that the forms aren't absolutely necessary. So if you feel more comfortable sending the letters, I would go ahead and do that.
