Stanford Acceptance/Random Phone Call?

<p>I got a call from a professor last week and he said the admissions committee thinks i'm impressive, likes my app, etc., and asked if i had any questions (but he did not say that i am admitted)...also, i NEVER got a likely letter.........</p>

<p>I know you'll still be nervous, like the rest of us, when decisions come out, but that phone call must have felt really good.</p>

<p>I can't imagine Stanford harrassing their profs (who have better things to do) to call students that they know they are going to reject...</p>

<p>This might be a marketing spoof by the Stanford admissions people to increase yield by showing how interested they are in you and by showing how profs are so approachable. </p>

<p>In any case, CONGRATS ... you must really be impressive.</p>
