So on their website it says to report ALL scores from every test you've taken but it also says that they accept the sat OR act. I was wondering if I could report just my act, but send both score reports from the two times that I took it, or do I have to send my sat scores along with it as well? I did significantly better on the act so I'm worried that by sending both it will hurt rather than help my chances.

They want all scores. It’s possible to suppress the SAT scores, but, just to be clear, that’s not what they want you to do.

I remember the Stanford admissions counselor specifically stating to send all scores… he did mention that regardless they will get them from college board… I am unclear on how they would be able to exactly do that, but he seemed pretty confident in that statement.

It’s really not hard to figure out:

You are trying to conflate two different rules into one. Stanford accepts either SAT or ACT for admission and thus when it says it accepts either it is talking about meeting the basic requirement for admission if you have taken only one of those. However, that rule has nothing to do with the different rule as to what you must provide if you taken both tests. You are required to provide scores for all SATs and all ACT tests that you have, You can, however, choose which SAT subject tests you want to send to Stanford.

Although there’s a couple conflicting responses I guess it’s pretty obvious I have to send in both. And thanks @drusba for giving me a clear response and differentiating between the two, I just wanted to be 100% sure before I left out anything important!
