Stanford All Score Policy

Hello! I have a question regarding my application to Stanford. Since I already sent in all my official scores from both the SAT and ACT to Stanford, do I still have to self report them on the app? I’m asking because Stanford is the only all test school I’m applying to, so I was just going to self report my best SAT score since my significantly lower ACT score would damage my chances at other schools. So, since Stanford already has access to all my scores, can I omit them from the “self report” section for the sake of other admissions? Thanks!

You can report any/all/none of your scores on the Common App. If you just want to list your best score, that’s fine. Colleges will verify your scores from the score report anyway. The important thing is that you follow Stanford’s guidelines of sending all scores.

^^ Agreed. In addition, you can individually tailor each application on the Common App to report whatever scores, awards and essays you want so what you self-report to Stanford doesn’t necessarily have to be what you self-report to other schools.

While true, I don’t usually recommend this. This is how mistakes happen, and the wrong version ends up being sent. No college using the Common App is expecting it to be customized.
