Hey guys, I've been perusing the Harvard board recently, and I just have to say: Stanford applicants kick ass.

Right now the Harvard board is full of people complaining about deferrals, and in a remarkable display of sense of entitlement, claiming that something must be WRONG if they got all the best scores and didn't get in. Not to mention people arrogantly talking about how Harvard is the hardest school into the world to get into, and how they could have applied to any other school and gotten in, but instead they aimed high, blah blah blah.

Basically, this board is hella more chill, and generally more awesome. Plus, we all know Stanford is a better school anyway. There was really no point to this post, except I just felt like trashing the Harvard board someplace I wouldn't get flamed for it. GO STANFORD.

HAHAHA... YES! When I got my deferral, I was so happy I didn't get rejected and was smiling all day, while this other girl (who shalt remain anonymous) who applied to a high ivy practically burst into tears when she got her deferral because she was completely sure that her ECs and test scores will get her in.

It's all a crapshot anyway. Be happy you have enough chips to play another round.

All I got to say to current applicants is - a year from now, just remember the anxiety you are feeling right now, not knowing if you'll get into Stanford or your school of choice (I presume you guys are mainly shooting for HYPSM).

If you don't get into an HYPSM school, don't think that you're suddenly an inferior student. And if you do get in, don't be looking down on those that didn't (like some people do) - you could have EASILY been in their shoes. As you guys say - it's a crap-shoot. Many equally qualified students get turned away from these schools and go to other fine institutions.
