Stanford Applicants: CA vs Everywhere Else

<p>Hi all....I read somewhere that close to 50% of Stanford students are from California. I was just wondering as to how many of you are applying from CA, or elsewhere? </p>

<p>I'm from CA. I think it's actually closer to 40%, and about 40% of students who apply are from CA.</p>

<p>So does that mean the chance to get in is actually a little less if you live in Cali?</p>

<p>i think it means that 40 percent of the applicants are from cali, so 40 percent who get in would be from there too.. its just that more people FROM there apply, so more get in from there.</p>
