<p>According to their application deadline, it states that the last acceptable SAT Test Date is January. Does that mean Stanford has to receive it by January or does that mean I have to submit it through CollegeBoard before then?</p>

<p>It states on their website, "We will certainly review any scores we receive (even if they arrive after the deadline) but we cannot promise to delay the review of an application in anticipation of scores that will arrive at a later date."</p>

<p>No this is simply their suggested deadline for when to sit for the test given the time the College Board takes to grade and send the SAT to you and schools. They think that if you take it any later than January, you won’t be able to have Stanford receive the results by the deadline of March (I think march 15th?). So the answer is no to both parts of your ‘Or’ question. You must send them your scores so they get them by the deadline in March.</p>
