Stanford, Berkeley.. couple others

Hey, I was wondering what people thought about my chances at:

-Stanford (SCEA)
-UC Berkeley
-MIT
-USC with one of their trustee/presidential scholarships?
-Northwestern
- U of Chicago
-UCLA

The main two I really care about are Stanford and Berkeley, I don't really want to go to east coast... Chicago would be alright I guess..I have a few other UC safeties like UCI/UCSD..

Also, is UCB harder or about equal to UCLA in terms of difficulty of getting in?

GPA: Weighted 4.7/4.7, 4.0/4.0 UW

My extracurriculars kinda suck.. anyways, thanks for any opinions ya share good or bad

fisd:

UCB/UCLA: Safe Match
UCSD: Safety
UCI: Super Safety

thanks.. any ideas on Stanford SCEA?

Also, I haven't taken an art class.. which is required for UCB..I put on the application that I'd take one at the community college over the spring semester to cover that..

One last thing, i'm an Indian(from India) male living in Nevada.. so no instate for UC schools..

nobody? :(

You better break out the old wine when you get your acceptance letter. All the schools well find it difficult not to accept you. You have alot of neat stuff and it seems like your the ideal american student.

UCLA is a little bit harder. I got to speak to some admission officers and UCLA seems to have a much harder admission process. But they will quickly toss your application in the "automatically accepted pile."

So let me be the first to say congrats on getting in!!!!!!!!!!!

stanford super reach to crapshoot

stanford is a reach, but possible. Write a great rec that shows you really were involved in something because your EC's show you as involved but not enough to devote the extra time a lot of leadership would have entailed.

thanks for the comments and suggestions, wish I could change a couple things for the Stanford EA app..whatever, just kinda nervous and trying to make the month go by as fast as possible so I figured i'd ask to see what you all thought, thanks a lot :)

You certainly do have a lot of APs, AND a mix of 5s and 4s.
Stanford likes ppl with a lot of APs with high scores.
You have a good shot, but your ECs are not stand-out.

You should be able to get into all the UC's and you have a decent shot at Stanford. As you said yourself, your EC's aren't outstanding, but I don't think it will hurt your chances too badly.

good luck!

you have a decent shot at stanford. If your essays are amzing (as well as teacher recs) then it will be possible. Without those tow, the stats won't speak for themselves.
