Stanford Biochemistry/Molecular Biology

I am a high school student finishing up my sophomore year. I have a really strong interest in biochemistry and molecular biology, and my ultimate goal is to earn a PhD in molecular biology (I’m thinking molecular neurobiology, but I’m honestly interested in anything related to biochem/mol bio so that might change). I have been looking into colleges to tour/consider applying to, and in addition to several UCs and a few other private universities, Stanford is a university I might be interested in. Could anyone tell me more information about their molecular biology program? I see that they don’t have a specific molecular biology or biochemistry major, but they do have a molecular biology honors track within the general biology major. What is that program like? Also, how easy or difficult is it to get involved in research as an undergrad? I ultimately want to become a researcher, so that is something that is very important to me. Finally, would you say that Stanford is worth the high tuition, especially when I could receive in-state tuition at UC Berkeley, UCLA, or UCSD? Thanks for any insight!
