According to funfetti, of Stanford board:
"yessss winning! i never liked princeton anyhow, even though i know a few nice people there. there is something about it, like it is too superficially perfect. i dont know. lets beat them.
if stanford and princeton got in a fight princeton would most definitely get owned."

I think f.scottie posted an article the other day from Stanford's paper in which they discussed why they should start up a rivalry with Princeton. Something along the lines of "unlike UPenn, we are Princeton's academic equals and our athletics are stronger so we'd beat them everytime" etc. It was rather pathetic actually. Princeton would never stoop so low as to arrange a rivarlry. So sad, so sad.

You know, first off an athletic rivalry is totally biased in Stanford's favor
1) Stanford's Div 1a (whether or not their football team looks like it!)
2) Stanford offers athletic scholarships (Princeton doesn't)
3) Stanford puts a ton more emphasis on being competitive in major sports among big state schools, whereas Princeton's emphasis are smaller sports among more elite schools

If they want a rivalry, they should look at academic programs!

haha its funny how Stanford wants to compete with Princeton
and Princeton is just like
"oh...you want to compete..."
"actually...we were going to apply to Stanford RD" =/
