<p>Im an incoming sri lankan senior living in northern michigan.
Just wanted to hear the opinions of other members.</p>

GPA: 3.89 (unweighted)

AP (place score in parenthesis): World - 5, Comp Sci - 5, Calc ab - 5, Bio - 5, Macroecon - 5, Microecon - 4
Senior Year Course Load: AP Physics C, AP Psych, AP Chem, AP Calc BC, AP French
Major Awards: National French Honors Society, NMSF, Cum Laude, Presidents Award, AP Scholar with Distinction, Robotics team made it to nationals 4 straight years</p>

<p>Extracurriculars: Key Club (President, leadership 3 years), FRC Robotics (Co captain, leadership 3 years), Band (Asst. Drum Major, leadership 2 yrs), Relay for LIfe (Co captain/committee, all 4 years),
Student Council (secretary, leadership 3 years), National HS (Treasurer), JV/Varsity Tennis - 2 yrs (captain of JV team), JV basketball, Varsity Track - 4 years/3 varsity letters, French Club
Job/Work Experience: Internship at Hospital, job at kumon for 2 years
Volunteer/Community service: Went on 2 week trip to India with uncle who is a surgeon, helped to treat patients.
Many many hours for key club, hours for robotics and NHS.
Summer Activities: Johns Hopkins CTY (2 years), Co-led summer robotics camps at community college, job, trip to india</p>

<p>No hooks, recs will be very good, essays will good.
Apologies if anything is too brief or I simply just used bad grammer.</p>

<p>When you say Sri Lankan, does that mean that you’re an international? Or do you have permanent residency/citizenship?</p>

<p>All looks good to me. Test scores on point, gpa and Extracurriculars look good as well. Unfortunately it’s pretty much out of your hands at this point though. Good luck!</p>

<p>I wish I still lived in Michigan so I could use their cutoff haha. But Stanford is a high reach no matter what because 5.6% of people get in</p>

<p>Like they said, your SAT scores are great :smiley: You also have good leadership roles in events</p>

<p>Also, the fact that you qualified for Nationals in robotics is going to make you stand out (4 years in a row!)|</p>

<p>The only thing is that your GPA might be a little lower than some Stanford applicants</p>

so basically top 10</p>

<p>Your application looks solid, but there isn’t anything that stands out. That’s okay though, you can make your essays be the factor that stands out! I’d say at this point your admissions shot would be about a 25%, but you can bring that up a lot. Chance me back:</p>

<p>In my opinion, you don’t have a very good shot at all of getting into Stanford. Though it may look impressive, your resume is what every kid who applies to Stanford has. There’s nothing to make you stand out. Also lacking community service just made your chance of getting in even more slimmer. I don’t want to ruin your hopes or anything, but this is reality. It’s a hard, cruel world out there!</p>
