Research
Currently doing research in using C programming(self-taught) to generate several positive expectancy automated stock trading systems (validated with statistics beyond AP Stat), and then minimizing drawdowns(losing streaks), through diversification of automated trading systems.

Getting recs from AP Calc teacher, AP Chem teacher, and AP Lit
All known for giving good recs.
Calc and Chem like me a lot...

Essays are about
- how I am making a lot of changes to improve Science Team, as Team Captain
- How I enjoy helping other people succeed
- Interest in logical/analytical Problem Solving
- etc.

Responding to your subject line… your chances are likely the same with the 2270 as the 2400. It’s the rest of your app that tells the story :-)

Being from South Carolina improves your chances. Did you apply early?

^ … I think he meant Southern california… considering he is taking classes at USC…

I think you have a decent chance… but as crazy said, it’s really going to be the subjective parts of your application - your essays in particular. I’m not sure your ECs are particularly strong for Stanford, but I am impressed your coursework and research. A lot of self driven activities will impress Stanford.

Good luck.

Are you female? I’ve heard female + robotics is rare and highly prized.

College of Charleston and USC are SC.

Male, and it is South Carolina, did not apply early. Also, found this:
[Applicant Profile : Stanford University](<a href=“Page Not Found : Stanford University”>Page Not Found : Stanford University).

Based simply on an 800 writing score, that’s a 20% chance for admission (on average (correlation, not causation)). Do you think I have at least a 30% chance overall?

You answered your own question.

I Noticed their data is far more granular for the SAT than for the ACT. S only took SAT once as he had a high ACT score. Will lower SAT scores (still over 2000) be death even with a high ACT, SAT Ii and AP scores?

It is very hard to predict what will happen in 4 months when the regular results come out.

Is it relevant that you have 7% chance or 30% chance? Neither guarantees you seat.

Anyway. The % chance you have of getting in is utterly irrelevant unless you plan on applying many times and that your chance stays constant across each trial (you don’t and it doesn’t).

Edit: It’s relevant in a binary sense. That is, you either probably stand a chance or probably don’t – that should frame your college list.

And yes, you probably stand a chance. This whole “do I stand a 30% chance” (especially coming from someone with a 2400…) just surprises me.

If you have heart on your essays. you’re in

I have a friend who has around the same stats as you and got rejected from stanford and accepted into princeton. He’s a good writer, too. 2400
