Great ACT scores and GPA (literally cant ask for better)!! You also have a ton of great awards and a lot of great EC’s. You have a good a chance as anyone, but remember Stanford’s not a good bet for ANYONE. I’m also applying to Stanford REA from VA. Chance me back if you have a minute.

I think you have a great shot!

thanks everyone!! chancing back right now!

Your EC’s do a great job at drawing attention from the AP scores (which arent bad, they just arent elite). You have a really good shot. Help my case http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1403671-what-colleges-should-i-apply.html?</a></p>

What are your fallback schools in case you won’t get into Stanford?

Your application is very competitive and you have a great shot!!
Just a Q:
How do you have time to do 6/hr a week of tutoring with all the EC’s and rigorous course load?

Wow, you have a fantastic shot at Stanford! Fantastic ACT and SAT, great GPA, rigorous courses, amazing EC’s–world robotics!! i can’t imagine they would not take you. You mentioned that you are leaving of your two 3’s on AP’s. Some CC threads have suggested that the college will wonder what you are “hiding” if you put some scores and not others (obviously I’m not talking about sr year AP’s)–ie the college might wonder if you had a 1 or a 2. Some CC writers have said “you don’t have to put any scores because the colleges really don’t look much at AP scores, and you don’t have to officially submit them until after you matriculate at that college”. Yet the Common App gives a space for 8 AP/SAT II scores, and I think it would look a little funny to just give the SAT II scores and then list the AP classes with no score next to them. My son has the same dilemma (4.0 UW GPA; high SAT/ACT/SATII, mostly great AP scores but two 3’s…). Also, the space in the CA only gives room for 8, so you can’t fit all of your AP’s in anyway. So you will put your higher scores and just not put the others anywhere (except that the course itself would be on your transcript?)

Very, very impressive stats! you have a very good shot. Are you applying EA? that’d be helpful. Best of luck.
I’d like to know what you think about my case:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1398342-any-advice-help-me-please.html</a></p>

very strong chance. but i’ve known people who blew it with their personal statement with better stats, and got rejected. write a strong personal statement, and you’re a shoe in.
chance back please.

@thesoxpride
just finished!

@RML
I think I’m shooting for UVA as a fallback-- since I’m in-state, I hope that’s realistic…

@callalily1
uh… i get that a lot haha… i guess it’s just a crazy work ethic, maybe? my life consists of sleeping eating and working lololol… maybe now it’ll calm down a little bit (submitted stanford rea monday night because of the arts deadline hehehe)

@jennieling
yup, that’s my plan. right now, i have the 6 highest ones first, and then 2 sat ii spots for the tests I just took during the October testing rounds

@marcelosanchez
i am applying REA! also, i’m chancing back right now!

@earlygrad123
i know, that’s what i’m worried about… since I was crazy busy i ended up only spending about a week on my essays -________- but i think they turned out well…nothing spectacular though. also, i’m chancing back right now!

“SAT I (breakdown): 2300; M: 800, CR: 760, W: 740, E: 9 (not submitting)”

@Westfield95: Make sure you read the Stanford application instructions very carefully. I believe they require all scores for both the SAT and ACT, if you’ve taken both. However, you can pick and choose which SAT II’s to send.

@socalpapa

thank you! i will definitely keep that in mind!

well guys thanks for all the chances haha

but I got rejected :frowning:

i think it’s alright though, I just have to work crazy hard on my RD apps now hahah

yea, tough luck dude, but goog luck=
0, btw, I don’t know if this was a mistake or not… " Engineer Girl Essay Competition (national finalist)" … Gender: male…

LOLLLLLLLLL yeah, it was kind of awkward submitting that essay, but apparently they take submissions from both genders :)
