Welcome there, mleahkelsea!

I applied REA and was deferred… Hello RD!

I’m so nervous for decisions… I’m already stressing and it’s January.

Hi clariebear29!

Haha, me too. This is terrible.

Deferral is somewhat pleasant news. Considering 15% of deferred students are accepted, in contrast to RD average acceptance rate of 5%. You guys probably have much better shot then lot of RD applicants

It’s just painful to be deferred and have to wait until April.

So where are y’all from? Is Stanford a long distance from y’all? And is anyone else nervous about being so far away from home???

I’m from California, so its not that far. I have never been there though.

Im from Arizona, not too far from Cali so I won’t feel homesick. I will just have to get used to the cool California weather :)

I’m from Mississippi! So ready to be in Cali and at Stanford (hopefully). Will most likely be rejected but I guess it’s worth a shot

From SoCal, so not far at all.

^ditto. I’m from SoCal as well.

I’m from Oklahoma, but I’m seriously in love with the West Coast. I’m from Canada originally anyways.

Hey, party people!

@clairebear, @cantconcentrate…deferred as well. Remember how absolutely insane our REA thread went those last couple of weeks? It’s going to be a full-out frenzy on here since there are so many more RD applicants.

So, in the deferred letter, it mentioned that results will come out late March? Do you think they’ll release the official release day in advance?

(Also: I’m from TEXAS YEE-HAW)

I actually applied to Yale EA, not Stanford, haha. :D

But… If they follow the Ivies, it should be ~March 28th.

I’m from Atlanta!

I’ve always wondered how state residency affects admissions.

me too! i wonder if it’s an advantage to be from a state that has very little applicants…hmmm…

CO here… Going to commit to Umich once my Stanford rejection letter arrives ;)

I’m from Texas too! How exciting!
