Stanford Class of 2017 RD Discussion

^^^Dartmouth O.o???
But I don’t think so…Because in that case Stanford would have bid goodbye tO me(gulp:P) 2 weeks ago…they started intl. applicant review on Saturday if I am correct:)

I agree with you quiverfox, they tweeted a picture of their international committee (live) on friday.
Btw quiver, what account are you talking about ?

Oops!! not account…just my app:)

T-minus 2 days :]

Stanford hasn’t sent an email with a login page yet for decisions have they?

I’ve only found the link to check on your documents. :s

pennforme1 - Stanford does not have a portal to check decisions. They simply send an email with the decision in the body of the message.

If you ask me, an email is slightly anticlimactic, but anything’s better than having to wait for mail.

So what time do you guys think the emails will be sent out when they do come out, sometime in the next couple of days?

Friday 3/29 starting 3pm PDT, e-mails of admissions decision will be sent.

sweeeet!!!

EMERGENCY: On my midyear transcript there was an incorrect grade. Unfortunately there was a long appeal process and it was JUST NOW CHANGED (2hrs ago). Is there any way I can submit this new grade? It’s not on my transcript yet (that will take a few more days) and my school is on spring break. Should I send the email that says the appeal has been approved and my grade will be changed? Where should I send it to? Should I try to get the professor to send a signed statement somehow?

I just hate the idea that I might be rejected because of a mistake. It’s tearing me up inside.

PS: I did call the admissions office and they said they couldn’t guarantee it could be considered but that it would have to be official confirmation. Don’t know what to do…

@Colorado, it most likely won’t make any difference. Don’t worry though, one grade will not make them reject you.

Guys, do you confirm that the admission decision is in the body of the email they’re going to send us ?
I don’t want to know until I’m ready to, and just opening my mailbox and seeing “Sorry, We completed […]” would kill me.

Yes, it says in the email. The subject of the email should be Your Stanford Admission Decision. The admitted email starts off with Congratulations…

@hennebou - I don’t know how they’ll handle it on the 29th, but I can confirm that S learned of his Stanford Deferred-ness in the body of an email earlier this year. :)

The email was generically titled “Your Stanford Admission Decision” and the letter started out… "After careful consideration and a thorough review… " so you wouldn’t have know the answer unless you read further.

Best of luck to you all, and know that wherever you land you will do great things!

@ColoradoDan: what sanguinee said. Truly. They’re probably getting all the mailings ready right now, so contacting them over a fairly minuscule matter won’t… well… matter.

@hennebou, yes it is. The subject is something like: Your Stanford Application Decision. Or something.

Great, thanks !
Is Stanford your current top choice ?

@hennebou: was that directed at me haha? If so, yes, it is.

And the anxiety mounts…

Just remember no one school will make or break you and I’m sure all of you here will end up getting into great schools regardless of whether or not Stanford works out.
