*Stanford.
Still no ACT scores on the portal for me… Sent my scores on 12/22 and processed on 12/23
Any word from Stanford on this situation, sent my scores on 12/18 and still nothing on the portal
@RoadtotheIvies98 same!
@RoadtotheIvies98 @pnguon @PWANG96
it took Stanford ~30 days to go from when ACT processed the score to when it posted in the portal. (process 12/8; posted 1/8) The odd part was SAT 2 tests were there almost immediately so I think it’s something with how stanford deals with ACT and not SAT. it took most other schools only about a week to post ACT scores. So If I were you I’d wait one more week before trying to contact them. I doubt they are doing much until february since many midyear reports aren’t even available yet. so don’t sweat it.
@shivaya Got mine this morning. Scheduled it for this Sunday.
@Ngzk07 - Great. All the very best for your interview!
Is it weird that I haven’t gotten anything about interviews? I’m from NYC, so I’d assume there are interviewers in the area… I’ve been contacted by almost every school but Stanford
@ThatGirlCoder that’s not unusual for Stanford - I believe they don’t give out as many interviews in general, and prioritize those who are legacies. I’m from the Seattle area and I haven’t heard anything either, but I know people who applied EA and had interviews.
How does the interview portion work? If they have interviews in my state will they contact me or can you request one? is it too late?
@Indigoraccoon4 they will contact you. You can’t request one. It is not too late
The way interviews for Stanford work is that on Mon Jan 11, the Admissions Office computer in Palo Alto makes as many assignments as it can in those states where interviews are offered and where there is a match between the applicant and interviewer locations / availability. After that, Stanford volunteer alumni leaders in those states try to find more interviewer bandwidth and make manual matches until the close to the Feb 18 deadline for interview reports. Every applicant is offered an interview if there are interviewers available, and no one is screened out based on GPA / SAT / etc. So if you aren’t offered an interview it is simply because no interviewers were available. It is not a clue as to your admission chances and does not affect your chances of admission. Bear in mind that Stanford, on one hand, gets more applications these days than any of the other top schools, BUT has only been interviewing for a few years. So they are still building their interviewer network and it is no surprise they can’t yet reach every applicant and every state. They don’t interview in CA, for example, where ± 40% of the applicants come from.
@ThatGirlCoder – REA applicants have a better chance of being interviewed because there are far fewer applicants in that early, compressed period, while the size of the pool of interviewers is more or less the same.Though legacies are in fact admitted at ± 3x the rate of non legacies, I don’t think legacy status makes one more likely to get an interview since it is mostly a zip code and availability matching process.
Any international applicant from India/SE Asia have received emails for interviews?
Wisconsin applicant, was contacted LAST weekend for an interview but the email went into my junk pile.
Luckily my interviewer was kind enough to email me again.
@Grisham2020 No not yet.
@Grisham2020 Yeah, I have my interview on the 26th. Many of my friends have heard back
Same here…27th for me!
