I’m so happy to hear that it’s coming out Friday! Good luck everyone
Oh my I didn’t know my stomach can turn like this hahaha
EA admit here. Good luck guys. I know how hard this can feel, but let me assure you that a college does not define you. Even a school like stanford can have its cons, so try to enjoy these last few days of high school!
I find out about Berkeley tomorrow, USC probably Friday or Saturday, and Stanford Friday. Worst week ever lol
@bananafofanna oh same wow. hear back from Berkeley, USC, CMU, and Stanford within next three days. Then Ivy day. My anxiety has gone through the roof
Yeah this week sucks. To be honest I just need a “yes” from one of the school’s this week, and my anxiety for Ivy day will be WAY LESS.
Are everyone’s checklists still up?
This is from Yale, but applicable to pretty much everyone on this website: http://admissions.yale.edu/after-colleges-accept-you
Best of luck to everyone on Friday–we’ll all be falling in love with the place we’ll be spending our next four years soon enough, Stanford or not.
I’ve been off this forum for a few hours and I come back and I’m already freaking out lol
@bananafofanna OR… It cud be ur BEST week ever
Just heard from Williams. Rejected. Starting to lose hope for Amherst and Stanford this Friday. :((
@Grapess But you got into JHU, yeah? (Congrats on that, btw!) So don’t lose hope! The fact that you got in there means you’re a solid enough candidate to have a good chance
Everyone complaining about how stressful this is, y’all got nothing on us REA deferred students who have been waiting for almost half a year.
@reach2020 Yes (although I still think they’ve made some mistake =; ) Thanks for the words of encouragement. I really needed that. I know everyone keeps repeating this but, as much as I find this waiting process thrilling, it’s suuuper nerve wrecking. cries
Does anybody else feel like you have to do some amazing community service or other activity centered around your major to get into Stanford?
@Grapess I’m sure your application was great! And don’t worry about it, that’s what we’re all here for. I know what you mean though. I’m trying to keep my hopes low as an international who needs aid, especially after getting rejected from JHU, but I always end up getting excited and all, and hoping for too much…
@reach2020 Man I hope you get accepted to one of your top choices. And OK I know I literally just said that I’m starting to lose hope, but gurl keep your chin up. Let’s both keep on hoping :x
@Grapess thanks! I’ve gotten accepted to three universities so far (all in Canada so doubt you’d know them, aside from maybe University of Toronto), rejected by JHU and QuARMS (arguably the toughest med program in North America; made it to top 200 for it though) and waiting on Stanford and Harvard! And I’ll keep my chin up! Although I’m not a girl .-. LOOL
@reach2020 congrats on the Canadian unis!! I know a bit about Canadian unis too, since some of my friends applied there.
(I just call everyone guurl when I get excited lol sorry :)) )
@goog721 I think that if you somehow demonstrate that you care about the things that you talked about on your application then that’ll probably be enough
