The same thing happened to me. I finally emailed the admission office after two weeks and they told me that my email had bounced back. I know why ! I had the right email on my common app, but when I got to the submit payment page, it asked for my parents credit card info and email. I assumed it was the email for the credit card, since it was only asking about payments on that page. For some reason, Stanford used that email instead. I have no clue why that email bounced back, because it was a valid email address. But they changed it to mine and gave me the login link. Try contacting credentials@stanford.edu . My app was in there and complete, they just couldn’t contact me!!
Yeah you should have gotten an email from Stanford. They (should have) sent you a temporary account with your documents status (sat, transcript, etc).
So how did the interview go? What exactly should I expect from mine? I know it will be informal, but I don’t want to be caught off-guard.
Mine went really well. Don’t fret too much, it’s not very formal. Be prepared to speak about your motivations and your experiences throughout high school. You’ll learn a lot about Stanford from your interviewer as well!
@mycollegeplan1 From the looks of the past ~6 years it will be the Friday before the 15th. For reference, last year emails went out staring at 3 pm on Dec 12. Will most likely be the 11th for us. Obviously not definitive, but I think it is a reasonable assumption.
@bfb123 - 3p PST?
Yes, it’s 3pm Pacific time.
Thank you
Just did my interview. Now, 4 weeks guys!
How’d it go? December can’t come soon enough.
@JPinkman It went pretty well. Lasted an hour instead of the pre-decided 30 minutes. It was much more casual than I thought it would be.
I’m too anxious for the result, and I don’t want to get it at the same time. :-S
Has anybody from Washington state gotten an interview yet?
Sucks that a lot of the south doesn’t get interviews. I feel like I do extremely well in those
@SeaJake I got mine a week ago, but I live in the far northern reaches of Washington and they sent me to Canada to do it, so I guess it might count as an interview in BC instead of WA for their scheduling.
California doesn’t either, there are too many of us
Have they already started reviewing applications? I really hope they like mine. :-S
I would hope so, there are only 4 weeks left.
I didn’t apply early, but my roommate did and she had her interview already (we are from Texas). The interviewer was a research professor at UT Southwestern and told her that he was mostly there to answer her questions about the school, and that admissions probably wouldn’t take what he had to say about her into too much consideration anyways. She had a good experience. Lol he even advertised for two other universities.
Has anyone from Michigan gotten an interview yet? I know we have one, and that he/she recently finished being trained.
We’re four weeks out guys, and the anxiety levels are continuing to rise…
